Kwata Eddene Promotion Terms and Conditions
1. This Promotion is open to all residents of Uganda over the age of 18 years, except employees (and their families) of the Promoter or of MoneyGram, their affiliates or subsidiary companies, as well as representatives or agents of MoneyGram or anyone else professionally connected with the Promotion. Partners like; Buddu Forex Bureau, DFCU, Housing Finance Bank, Mefropolifan Forex Bureau,Prime Fares Bureau and Stanhope Forex Bureau,fheir employees and employees’ relatives up to the 2nd degree of consanguinity and affinity are disqualified from joining the Promotion.
2. The Promotion is a prize draw activity whereby any MoneyGram customer who sends or receives money in Uganda via the MoneyGram international money transfer system between 21st November 2011 and 3rd December 2011 (the “Promotion Period”) shall be eligible to be included in the below stated different prize draws (“The Promotion”), The Promotion is only open to MoneyGram customers conducting a qualifying money transfer send or receive transaction from all participating agent locations offering MoneyGram money transfer services (“Participating Location”) during usual opening hours, The Participating Locations are the locations of; Buddu Forex Bureau, DFCU, Housing Finance Bank, Metropolitan Forex Bureau, Prime Forex Bureau and Stanhope Forex Bureau.
3. By participation in this Promotion, entrants will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions and agreed to be bound by them. Each MoneyGram money transfer; send or receive transaction allows the customer to make one entry only.
4. All eligible MoneyGram customers will be able to participate in three different prize draws by registering through sending a text message to the number 8777 containing the following details;
(1) The money transfer transaction reference number;
(2) The word to indicate which of the available prize draws they are entering, i.e.:
(a) “XMAS” for indicating an entry into the end of year Prize draw; or
(b) “FEES” for indicating an entry into the bock to school Prize draw,
In addition, any entry is automatically eligible for the Grand Prize draw. For each text message, the usual mobile phone test messaging charges apply.
5. The prize for each winner will be associated with the respective prize draw they have entered. Prizes are as follows:
(1) The Grand Prize is one Toyota Noah valued at UGX 22,000,000,
(2) The Other Prizes are Plasma TVs valued at UGX 12,000,000 for 4 winners, Fridges valued at UGX 8,000,000 for 4 winners, Shopping vouchers valued at UGX 4,500,000 for 15 winners, one year’s school fees for 4 winners valued at UGX 4,000,000 and back to school shopping vouchers valued at UGX 4,500,000 for 15 winners.
6. Incomplete or illegible entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions and these terms and conditions will not be accepted.
7. The winners will be selected through four (4) draws, conducted by the Promoter and an independent board of judges, whereby in each draw, one winner will be selected. The selection of the winner for each prize will be carried out by random selection of one entry from all complete and eligible entries into the Promotion during the Promotional Period. The first prize draw will be on 7th December 2011, and the last draw which is to double as the Grand Prize draw will be on 19th January 2012.
8. Each winner will be contacted by a representative of the Promoter within five (5) working days after the draw takes place on the mobile phone number used by the winner to enter into the Promotion, The winners will be notified on where to pick the prizes from. All prizes must be picked up before 29th February 2012. If the winner is unreachable via the mobile number used to enter the Promotion by the Promoter, or if the winner does not collect the prize by 29th February 2012, he or she will be excluded from the winners’ list and will have no further claim against the Promoter. Upon collection of prizes, winners must present a valid ID document (such as a passport, employer ID or driving permit or any other government issued ID).
9. The Promoter’s decision is final. Prizes are non-transferrable and no other alternative can be substituted for the prize. Prizes may especially not be exchanged into cash.
10. Acceptance of the prize will be deemed as consent by the winner to use his/her name in all related publicity and use his/her photographs in all publicity connected with the Promotion without additional charge or permission and the prize-winner agrees to sign an acknowledgement to this effect.
11. By accepting these Terms and Conditions participants agree that personal data shall be processed and stored on MoneyGram’s database and used for the administration of its ongoing relationship with participants and in connection with the Promotion. 12. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this Promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or damage) suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this Promotion or with the prizes offered.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, to change or cancel the dates at the Promotion or to end the Promotion at any time if circumstances make this unavoidable without awarding prizes or compensation.
14. These Terms and Conditions supersede all other prior Terms and Conditions, understandings, arrangements or agreements, whether verbal or written, in relation to Kwata Eddene in Uganda.
